A live demo of Google's Live Translation feature, being performed using a pair of extended reality (XR) glasses running on the newly-launched Android XR, failed on stage during the I/O developer conference. Senior Google executives performing the demo had called it "very risky" seconds before it failed. The feature provided English translation of two Hindi and Farsi phrases before failing.
