Google Maps has been gradually rolling out Gemini AI, bringing new voice tools, smarter navigation and early traffic alerts that change how users plan and follow their routes. The update replaces Google Assistant for navigation tasks and places a Gemini spark icon in the top right of the map. Gemini works with driving, walking, cycling and public transport navigation.
