Google Maps will be showing relevant COVID-19 alerts from local transit agencies to users while travelling, starting in countries including India, Australia, Belgium and Thailand. Moreover, it will introduce driving alerts to notify users about COVID-19 checkpoints and restrictions, starting in the US, Canada and Mexico. It will also help users to check when a transit station could be crowded.
