Google quietly fired Cloud employees over the past two weeks, with its layoffs hitting several other teams too, Business Insider reported. Google's Threat Intelligence Group, one of its top security units, was hit by layoffs on Thursday, along with Mandiant, a cybersecurity company Google bought in 2022. Google reportedly cited need to reinvest in AI as the reason for layoffs.
