Google researchers have developed a single end-to-end model for real-time multilingual automatic speech recognition (ASR). The model can recognise nine Indian languages, namely Hindi, Marathi, Urdu, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Gujarati. Researchers said the multilingual model was trained on these nine Indian languages as many of them overlapped in acoustic and lexical content.
