Google search for Brexit spiked 250% after vote

Google Trends Twitter account reported a 250% increase in people searching for "what happens if we leave the EU", two hours after the Brexit referendum polls closed. It also reported a 100% spike in UK searches for "getting an Irish passport" following the vote. Further, the Brexit debate grabbed the highest ever search interest in the British pound (£).
