Google has set a 2029 timeline to protect data from future quantum computers that could break current encryption methods. The company aims to secure authentication systems using post-quantum cryptography (PQC), a new class of algorithms designed to replace existing ones vulnerable to quantum attacks. It also urged other companies to adopt similar measures.
