Fitbit CEO James Park in an online post said Google will continue to "protect Fitbit users' privacy". He added users' health and wellness data will be kept separate from other Google ad data and that Google will allow users to choose to connect to third party services. Earlier this week, Google announced it had completed $2.1 billion acquisition of Fitbit.
