Google to make new AI chip for Gemini models: Report

Alphabet-owned Google is planning to deploy a new AI chip, "Frozen v2", to ease computing capacity constraints for Gemini workloads, Reuters reported, citing The Information. The chip, expected by 2028, could be six to 10 times more efficient than Google's latest custom AI chips, based on the number of AI tokens served per unit of power.
