Google's first office was in the garage of YouTube CEO

In September 1998, Google Co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin set up a workspace in current YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki's garage in California. Wojcicki charged the company $1,700 per month in rent and joined Google as one of its first employees. As the head of Google Video, she led Google's acquisition of YouTube which was announced on October 9, 2006.
