Several Google employees from Ireland, who were laid off as part of the company's 12,000 global cuts, could be offered severance packages worth over ₹2.6 cr (€300,000), Sunday Times reported. Google has reportedly laid off 240 workers in Ireland, including employees from sales and technology. The severance package includes six weeks of wages for every year worked at the company.
