With inscriptions dating back to the 11th century, Gooty or Gutti in Andhra Pradesh is among the oldest fort complexes in India. The historical monument houses 15 interconnected smaller forts and boasts 108 wells for supplying water to its residents. An architectural and engineering marvel, the historical structure also has a gymnasium apart from a granary and temples.
