'Game of Thrones' season 8 has secured 32 nominations at 71st Emmy Awards, creating a record for the most number of Emmy nominations received in a single year. It secured nominations for Outstanding Drama Series, as well as for editing, cinematography and directing along with acting categories. Drama series 'NYPD Blue' earlier held the record with 27 nominations in 1994.
