Ex-Sri Lanka prez Gotabaya moves Sri Lanka SC for arrest protection

Former Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa approached the Supreme Court seeking protection from arrest under anti-terrorism laws linked to the 2019 Easter Sunday bombings that killed nearly 270 people. This follows the Court of Appeal dismissing his writ petition on October 1. His wife and nephew are already facing separate corruption cases.
