The government is set to launch version 2.0 of its ‘Make in India’ initiative in order to boost the country’s manufacturing sector. While the first level focussed on the ease of doing business, version 2.0 would be “a people’s movement’” with initiatives like ‘Skill India’, ‘Digital India’ and ‘Start-up India’, a senior government official said.
