The Centre has approved a name and gender change request for trans IRS officer M Anusuya posted at Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs. He will now be officially recognised as M Anukathir Surya and the gender has been changed to male from female. The officer had submitted a petition in the finance ministry for the same.
