Govt announces 60-day bonus for postal staff ahead of festive season

The central government has approved a productivity-linked bonus for postal employees for 2025-26 following union demands for early payment ahead of the festive season. The bonus will equal 60 days' wages, calculated using a monthly wage ceiling of ₹7,000. The approval also covers eligible Gramin Dak Sevaks, full-time casual workers and temporary-status casual labourers.
