The government has announced that the Central Board of Direct Taxes has tied up with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs to issue Permanent Account Number and Tax Deduction Account Number in a day. This has been done to improve the ease of doing business. The CBDT has also introduced electronic PAN cards which will be sent by email to applicants.
