Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharman has announced a plan to facilitate parents' contribution to their minor children's National Pension System (NPS) account. The account, which will be called NPS Vatsalya, can be converted into a regular NPS plan once the children reach adulthood. The new initiative is aimed at facilitating long-term savings for minors.
