Govt bans flying lantern kites near Delhi airport till Dec 19

The Ministry of Civil Aviation (MoCA) has banned the flying of lantern kites and hot air balloons within 2 km of the IGI Airport in Delhi. The order is in force from October 21 to December 19. The decision has been taken as flying such kites would pose "great danger" to aircraft, government stated. This comes ahead of Diwali celebrations.
