Govt clarifies FSSAI action against popular alcohol brands

The government clarified that FSSAI action against some alcohol brands was due to alleged violations involving misleading labels and use of flavours that mimic standard alcoholic beverages. The ministry said products from brands including Old Monk, McDowell's and others were investigated over claims such as age statements and artificial flavour additions under food safety regulations.
