The government has earmarked ₹5,000 crore for airlines under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) 5.0 amid rising jet fuel prices and West Asia tensions. The scheme offers a maximum loan limit of ₹1,000 crore per borrower, along with an additional ₹500 crore, subject to equivalent equity infusion. The loans will have a tenure of up to seven years.
