The government shared a table comparing India's economic rankings in 2014 and 2024. India's GDP rank improved from 10th to 5th in 10 years, while mobile phone and steel production rank jumped to second. Number of unicorn startups grew from four in 2014 to over 100 in 2024 and India's position in global innovation index rose from 76th to 40th.
