The government has launched new guidelines under the ₹10,000 crore PM E-DRIVE scheme, offering up to 100% subsidies for setting up EV charging stations, battery swapping units, and charging infrastructure. Of this, ₹2,000 crore is allocated for charging infrastructure development. Central ministries, PSUs, CPSEs, states, and UTs can apply, with priority given to smart cities.
