MeitY has directed X Corp to immediately strengthen moderation systems, prevent AI-generated obscene content, and follow due diligence under Indian law. The ministry said AI does not reduce legal responsibility. It warned that failure to comply with IT Act provisions, including removal timelines and cooperation with authorities, could lead to strict legal consequences for the platform.
