The upper limit for loans under the Mudra scheme will be doubled from ₹10 lakh to ₹20 lakh for those who have availed and paid previous loans, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced during the Budget presentation. Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) will open new branches to serve more MSMEs over the next three years, Sitharaman added.
