The Aviation Ministry has omitted a proposal to raise the FDI limit in Indian airline firms to 74% from the current 49%, in a draft policy submitted for Cabinet approval. The Ministry had earlier proposed to raise the limit to 74% by 2020, Civil Aviation Secretary RN Choubey said. Further, the government had raised the limit to 49% in 2012.
