In a relief to exporters, the government announced an automatic extension of the export obligation period for specified Advance and Export Promotion Capital Goods (EPCG) authorisations till August 31. Exporters will not be required to submit any separate application or pay any composition fee to avail the benefit. The measure has been taken in view of prevailing global shipping disruptions.
