The Directorate General of Foreign Trade extended the minimum import price of ₹20,108/ton on the import of disodium carbonated (soda ash) up to December 31 this year. Soda ash is used in multiple industries, including glass manufacturing, detergents, and chemicals. Soda ash was previously under a 'Free' import policy and the minimum import price was first imposed in December 2024.
