Govt gives nod to radio-collar 5 leopards in Mumbai

The government has approved a proposal to study the movement and behaviour of leopards in and around Mumbai's Sanjay Gandhi National Park (SGNP) by radio-collaring five leopards. The project that will commence in January 2021, will cost ₹62 lakh, of which the state will fund ₹40 lakh and the rest will be funded by Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), India.
