The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved the National Watershed Management Project ‘Neeranchal’. The project is aimed at enabling every farmland to have access to irrigational facilities and increasing the efficiency of water usage. Reportedly, 50% of the $357 million (₹ 2,140 crore) project would be loaned by the World Bank.
