Govt invites applications for next SEBI chairman to replace Ajay Tyagi

The government has released an advertisement inviting applications for the post of chairman of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Current chairman Ajay Tyagi's three-year tenure is set to end on March 31 this year. The chairman will be appointed on the recommendation of the Financial Sector Regulatory Appointment Search Committee (FSRASC) and will have a five-year tenure.
