India’s cybersecurity agency CERT-In has issued an advisory for WhatsApp web and Desktop users regarding a large-scale malware distribution campaign. It warned against opening any Visual Basic Script (VBScript) files, even if they are sent by known or close contacts. Citing Kaspersky and Securelist's reports, it said that the threat actors are using compromised WhatsApp accounts.
