The government on Saturday issued a notification for the implementation of the One Rank One Pension (OROP) scheme. The benefit under the scheme will be calculated from July 1, 2014, with the pension being re-fixed every five years. However, the Chairman of Indian Ex-Servicemen Movement Major General Satbir Singh (Retd) said the notification won't be acceptable in the current form.
