The Ministry of Finance said it has taken cognisance of issue raised by Wintrack, an importer that announced its exit from India over alleged bribery demands by Chennai Customs. "The Department of Revenue (DoR) has been asked to undertake a fair, transparent, and fact-based inquiry into the present issue," it said, adding that the matter is being dealt with seriousness.
