The government has launched a free HPV vaccine campaign for 14-year-old girls to prevent cervical cancer, the second most common cancer among women in India. The Gardasil-4 vaccine protects against high-risk HPV types 16 and 18, reducing cancer risk by 90-95%. Vaccination is voluntary and available at government health centers nationwide.
