Government may approve a hike in dearness allowance (DA) to 107% from 100%, benefiting 30 lakh Centre's employees and 50 lakh pensioners. Finance Ministry will put a Cabinet proposal for approval of 7% DA hike from July-1, 2014, officials said. The UPA govt had increased DA to 100 % from 90% with effect from Jan-1, 2014, on Feb-28 this year.
