Centre is likely to launch a low-cost credit card scheme for micro businesses in late April 2026, a Financial Express report said. The scheme will offer unsecured cards with limits of up to ₹5 lakh for micro enterprises, particularly those registered on the Udyam portal. These cards are expected to carry annualised interest rates of around 18% on outstanding balances.
