Government on March 21 modified Mutual Credit Guarantee Scheme for MSME manufacturers and exporters. Modifications expand coverage, reduce the compliance burden and provide targeted incentives for exporter MSMEs. The scheme will now also include service sector. The upfront contribution, which was previously non-refundable at 5%, shall now be partially refundable starting from the fourth year.
