According to 2021 rankings released by the government, AIIMS Delhi is the best medical college, followed by PGIMER (Chandigarh), Christian Medical College (Vellore), NIMHANS (Bengaluru) and Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Lucknow). Meanwhile, top engineering colleges in the country include IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Kanpur and IIT Kharagpur.
