Govt notifies new veg, non-veg labelling rules for soaps, shampoos, toothpaste

Centre has notified new veg, non-veg labelling rules for soaps, shampoos, toothpaste, toiletries and other cosmetic products. Under the new rules, such products of vegetarian origin will have to carry a green dot, while products of non-vegetarian origin will have to carry a red or brown dot. The dot must be shown at the top of the principal display panel.
