Govt orders all oil firms to immediately remove sales cap

The Centre has warned private fuel retailers against limiting petrol and diesel sales at retail outlets. Jio-bp and Nayara Energy have reportedly introduced diesel purchase restrictions at some pumps amid rising international fuel prices and pressure on retail margins. Petroleum Secretary Neeraj Mittal said the government will take up the matter.
