The government has issued notices to Google and Apple to take down seven apps allegedly used to disable e-rickshaws remotely, according to reports. This comes after the government removed the Chinese battery management apps BAT-BMS and Epoch Li-ion over the issue. Videos showing pranksters using the apps to remotely switch off e-rickshaw batteries have gone viral.
