Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) launched an investigation into Adani Defence Systems and Technologies for evading tariffs worth ₹77 crore while importing some missile components by falsely claiming it was exempt from customs duties and tax, Reuters reported, citing government sources. The unit is part of billionaire Gautam Adani's Adani Group. The probe reportedly began in March.
