India has responded after Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu's brother-in-law Abdullah bin Mohammed Ibrahim criticised PM Narendra Modi and his visit to the island nation. "Our ties are strong enough to withstand some of these passing remarks," said Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri, adding that the future of India-Maldives ties is "bright". Ibrahim has deleted the social media post in question.
