Govt rolls out new rules for phone screen guards

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has announced that screen protectors for mobile phones will be added to the schedule of goods requiring mandatory Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification. Screen protectors will have to comply with the prescribed IS 19348:2025. The standard sets specifications around the glass, its dimensions, strengthening, construction and testing.
