Govt's 'Vigyan Jyoti' helps 4,559 Andhra girls pursue STEM studies

A total of 4,559 girl students across Andhra Pradesh have benefited from government's "Vigyan Jyoti" programme since 2020-21, Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh said. Vigyan Jyoti scheme, launched during 2019-20, has been introduced at the school level for meritorious girl students of Class 9-12. It encourages them to pursue career in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths (STEM) fields.
