Chennai District Collectorate has announced a holiday in government schools in Chennai on December 2-3, owing to the orange alert for heavy rainfall. The IMD has said that Chennai and its adjacent districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rainfall on December 2-3. By tomorrow morning, government will also decide on holiday in private schools and colleges.
