The government has selected Jalandhar-based electric vehicle (EV) startup Republic Motors to provide EVs for Kartarpur Corridor to help nearly 5,000 devotees commute daily. Initially, the startup will supply six campus electric carts, which can seat up to nine people each, and will provide more based on requirements. The carts will carry passengers from the terminal till the India-Pakistan border.
