Govt selling onion at ₹22/kg after importing 18,000 tonnes: Paswan

Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan said that the government has imported 18,000 tonnes of onion and is selling it for ₹22/kg, but the states have bought only 2,000 tonnes. Paswan added that the government was working on a "no profit, no loss" policy. This comes a day after government data revealed that onion prices jumped 455.8% in December 2019.
